What is a Tamarin?

Many voices, many visions, one host, one golden lion Tamarin
St. Tamarin is a one-man musical procession, led by Stephen Sooter, which has chosen to finally put its songs, some of them over 10 years old, out into the jungle. Stephen was born and raised in Brazil but has been living in Germany for the past 15 years.
Golden Lion Tamarins, also known as “Mico Dourado”, are small, vividly colored monkeys native to the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. With their radiant orange-gold fur and lion-like mane. Agile and social, unless in a cage, it lives high in the treetops, moving in playful family groups and communicating with sharp, bird-like calls.

As this Tamarin still works an 8 to 5 and tends to a furiously-famished, wide-eyed apprentice in the off-hours, the music emerges like moonlight through the branches — always on its own terms. Hence, the Stripe and Bandcamp links below if you feel like supporting even more directly.
